General Product Instructions For Use and Handling

Important Retinol Usage Guidelines:

1. Start Slowly:** During the first 1-2 weeks, apply a pea-sized amount only 1-2 times per week, **at night only**, after cleansing and serum steps. Apply to concerned areas or the entire face.
2. Build Tolerance:** Gradually increase frequency to every other night, then nightly as tolerated by your skin. Monitor for irritation.
3. Moisturize:** Follow with a good moisturizer. This cream contains moisturizing ingredients but additional hydration might be needed.
4. PM Use Only:** Retinol makes skin sensitive to sunlight. Use only in your nighttime routine.
5. SPF is Mandatory:** Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher **every morning** without fail when using retinol, even on days you don’t apply the cream at night.
6. Avoid Other Actives:** When first starting, avoid using other strong active ingredients like high-concentration Vitamin C, AHA, or BHA in the same routine to minimize irritation.
7. Patch Test:** If you have sensitive skin, perform a patch test before applying to the entire face.
8. Initial Phase:** Some mild redness, peeling, or purging (breakouts) can occur initially (the “retinization” period). This usually subsides as skin adapts. If severe irritation occurs, reduce frequency or discontinue use.
